What I wish was different
Nothing.

Intern II - Airport Planning
June - August 2019 • San Diego, CA
What I liked
Above all, I really enjoyed what I did. Over the course of a summer, I got to do a variety of tasks that introduced me to the various aspects of what an airport planner would do in their job. In addition, I liked being in charge of a group project and the opportunities to work with the other interns.
I also enjoyed the atmosphere and work culture, everyone seemed happy and energized. Being able to work at an airport and see aircraft all the time was something I also liked. The intern program featured occasional tours of the airport, introducing us to different facets of the airport and the careers that went along with them.
What I wish was different
The internship was great once I started, however there is one thing I would change. The internship description was almost too short and left me a little in the dark about what I would actually be doing once I started working.
Advice
Be open to new tasks and ask questions! I was given the opportunity to work with new software programs and to work on topics I had not seen much before, but thanks to the support of my coworkers I was able to learn quickly and get the job done!
