Experience in the field/industry, working in a small primary team and a diverse project team, working with one of the coolest projects.
What I wish was different
More/better communication between my coworkers, team lead, and the contact for my government contract paperwork. This became problematic multiple times, however it is seen as "being your own advocate" for you to constantly check up, even if you don't get answers.
Advice
Learn all you can, and ask for more work if you finish. Network within your team, other teams, and management. They are your best advocates and I was able to learn more this way.

What I liked
Dr. Chris Harrison has been the best mentor I've had in college by far! He is such a great teacher, very accommodating, and incredibly tech-savvy so the COVID-19 interruption wasn't a terrible transition.
What I wish was different
Well of course I wish this experience had been in person rather than virtual being as I'm a bioanalytical researcher but most of us missed out anyway.
Advice
Just ask a professor to join their lab if you find their research interesting! You can see descriptions of their research online and almost everyone has their own personal website that is more in-depth (the good ones anyway).
