Everyone in the office was really nice. We often ate lunch together and generally had a good time. The work itself was really interesting, too. I learned how to use WordPress and other programs used in communications often. I was also able to help out with Marketing for SLO because the Chamber is also hired by the city to help with tourism. So many learning opportunities!
What I wish was different
I would have liked a nice work space. The laptop I was given had a partially broken screen, and didn't have Photoshop on it, so my co-worker would have to photoshop all the pictures and then send them to me. I also didn't have a designated desk, so I sat in different places on different days.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask for more tasks! The Chamber reaches out in the community in so many different ways, so there is sure to be a project or task that suits whatever field you want to focus on.
