I liked the environment. It is very relaxed. The Young Adult Department that I was volunteering with were so kind and welcoming. There was play involved in the work. They are very open and inviting.
What I wish was different
I wish we would have found a role for me sooner. They wanted me to be more independent, visionary, and a self-starter.
Advice
If you love sandals church you will love volunteering there. If you know exactly what you would like to help with they like that better. They are very interested in volunteers so focus on what you really want to help with because you will be presented with many opportunities.

Don't be afraid to ask someone how to get started or where to go to signup. You'll be glad you did.
