What I liked

I loved the weather, learning about children and what they go through, and having a job where the priority is to have fun!

What I wish was different

I wish I would have been more prepared and had a little more break time in the day. I also wish they would have hired more people.

Advice

Give your all to these kids. They are only there for two weeks, and it is our job to have the most fun with them.

What I liked

I loved the experience I gained this summer working at Santa Catalina Summer Camp. I was able to influence the lives of young minds by teaching things like responsibility, repect, and what it means to be apart of a sisterhood. I grew so much as a person working with the kids and an amazing group of counselors. This summer camp was filled with so much love, support, and positivity. There truely is not other place like Santa Catalina Summer Camp. I am so lucky to have been able to be apart of this adventure and I want everyone to be able to experience this.

What I wish was different

Advice

One piece of advice I would like to share is to try stepping out of your comfort zone. I was so nervous to travel all the way to Monterey and spend six weeks away from all my friends and family. I was so nervous at first, however I ended up finding a second home with these girls. Sometimes change can be scary, but if you dont take those risks you may never know whats at the other end waiting for you.
