The Timbuctoo Climate Science and Careers Summer Institute (Timbuctoo Institute or CS&CSI) is an initiative conceived of and led by ESF. The Institute provides an intensive 2-week summer experience for high school students from traditionally marginalized communities, and focuses on environmental and social justice issues considered through the lens of climate science. The structure of the institute links communities and State schools of higher education (SUNY and CUNY) at the headwaters and harbor of the Hudson River.
