About TD Ameritrade, a subsidiary of Charles Schwab

In 1975, an investment banking firm known as First Omaha Securities, Inc. opened its doors. Over 40 years later, that company is known as TD Ameritrade, one of the largest online brokerage companies in the country.

In October of 2020, TD Ameritrade was acquired by Charles Schwab and became one company with a shared vision. Harnessing our combined strength, we are building a firm with an entrepreneurial spirit and the resources of a large financial services institution committed to serving investors of all sizes.

While we work to fully integrate our operations, Schwab and TD Ameritrade will continue to function as two separate broker-dealers and custodians. We are one company working together to support two brands. Both Schwab and TD Ameritrade have been consistently recognized as best places to work. The combined company will carry on this heritage, offering opportunities for you to build and grow a meaningful career.

“I like that it’s a very well organized program. You get exposure to real world work experience but also several activities for education and personal development time. Round tables and shadowing sessions really help you finding your way in the financial industry and knowing what you would like to do after college. Last year, fall 19/spring 20 we were on the building and this year fall 20/spring 21 we are working remotely, which was expected under these circumstances. ”
