I learned extensively about ancient Mesopotamian cuneiform tablets (in languages of Akkadian, Sumerian, and Hittite) with Professor Susanne Paulus. I enjoyed my work of compiling scanned tablet images through Photoshop and updated the museum database.
What I wish was different
Museums could offer more paid internships.
Advice
If you are interested in museums work, figure out which positions in the museum interests you through work/internships! For me, while I am not interested in educational or curatorial works, I am interested in database, administrative, or marketing work in museums.
