I enjoyed interacting with the kids and leading crafts, songs, cooking camps, and swim activities. I also loved working with the other college aged counselors

I wish we had more space and organization!
Advice
The assistant position is a definite step up from being a counselor that comes with its own challenges and rewards. You may feel slightly outside the loop of the counselors. This is one thing that comes with the position and you will have to accept it in order to remain professional.
