What I liked

The students and most staff were extremely friendly and fun to be around. It was great building trust and confidence in these struggling students.

What I wish was different

I only wish one new intern hadn’t joined us, because he had a bad attitude and work ethic and was mainly hired by my boss as a personal favor and to fill a temporary position while she looked for someone else. I guess I also wish that I could’ve syalltayed longer, because the students were really starting to bond with me and wanted me to stay and teach.

Advice

Be patient and remind yourself that even if you aren’t certified teacher, you have a responsibility to these students that they see no differently.
