What I wish was different

Interns don't learn anything and aren't paid either, so you gain nothing from it. Terrible experience for naive college students to be used for free labor. Owner and HR department made offensive jokes about clients behind their backs and made others feel uncomfortable about speaking up about it.

Advice

Don't take this internship.

What I wish was different

Owner and supervisors are often too busy to actually guide you through marketing processes within the company, you won't learn any transferable skills after you leave.

Advice

Do not accept an internship here! They do not pay interns agreed wages and you will be subjected to doing busy work that does not offer valuable experience in your field. The owner ensures that all novel ideas are shot down and makes it his mission to make sure your contributions will not have long-lasting effects on the company. You won't be paid in experience or monetary compensation even if you're promised both.
