Interacting with animals on a daily basis and learning their unique personalities and oddities. Zookeepers were very friendly and really showed a love for their animals. All questions about animals and procedures were answered quickly and thoroughly. Very good working environment.
What I wish was different
I would have preferred more agency in which range I was placed in.
Advice
Be prepared to get up early and work hard. Taking care of the animals is very rewarding but it is not easy work.
