3D Designer / Intern

What I liked

I loved the team that I worked with and learning the pipeline and workflow of a large agency. My team always made me feel like I was a member of the team and never like I was "an intern". I got to be the sole 3D Designer on a number of projects and experience working with other department teams and handing our work off to them. There was not one person at the agency that I met that I wouldn't want to work with or talk to - it was great. Every other Friday was beer cart Friday as well =)

What I wish was different

I wish the position was a little more in my field. TL does retail product and ad design, and although design is part of what I do, I'm in the motion design, animation, and video production industry.

Advice

People are everything when it comes to work and internships. Be yourself, you don't have to be incredible or know everything - you shouldn't. Embrace that the people you work with are 100xs better than you and use that as leverage - learn from them about workflow, tips, becoming better at whatever you're doing, working with teams, etc. Be a kind person and a good teammate to work with and it can be the best work experience you'll ever have.
