I enjoyed how easy it was to learn and begin volunteering. The kids are all super sweet and I enjoy spending one on one time to improve a child's reading level.
What I wish was different
I wish this opportunity could have been in person, but I understand that because of COVID it was done online for the kids safety.
Advice
I encourage everybody to sign up because they are always looking for new people and sometimes kids are left without reading mentors because of the lack of volunteers.
