I graduated from this high school and I felt lucky to get the chance to go back and work with the younger kids who will one day be in the shoes that I was in. I loved working there because the staff felt like a family and the campers felt like family too. I got to care for them as if they were my own and I got to form amazing friendships with some pretty amazing kids. This experience helped me decide that I most definitely want to go into the educational field because I want to be able to work with kids like them all the time!
What I wish was different
I wish that I could have had more time with my campers. Everything there was great!
Advice
My advice would be to try out for a job like this one. Even if you do not see a future in the educational field, I still recommend it. Working with kids can prepare you for the future whether it may be as a teacher or as a parent. Do this job everyday with an open mind and love every kid as if they were your own.
