Being able to assist police officers and DIVIS agents with ongoing cases, taking a workload off of the officers so they could focus on important tasks, the work climate was friendly by professional

I wish I had the confidence to work the phones and had better communication with my supervisors
Advice
Your people skills will be tested. Learn how to defuse tense situations, learn how to encourage others who are in a difficult position, and learn basic Spanish

What I liked
I really overall liked everything about being able to intern with Tulsa PD.
What I wish was different
The only thing I wish could’ve been different was being able to get more involved than I was able to be, given the time I was there.
Advice
Amazing experience and great opportunity, definitely would do it again. I will mention that it is a very emotional job so hold on to your tears and don’t take any of it home with you. That would be my advice for you from this experience.
