TRORC was an excellent opportunity to learn about the planning community in Vermont. The organization valued professional development opportunities for all staff at many points throughout the year. The area also provided a wide array of exposure to planning from small urban centers, tourist focused communities to rural towns trying to think about the future. It is a multi faceted organization that allowed me to work and manage projects around regional & land use issues, transportation, and economic development.

What I liked
As a planner, I have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple projects including water planning, creative economy, town plans, and mitigation plans. I recently graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in environmental science and a concentration in ecological design with a focus in green building and community development. Two Rivers has provided me with valuable experience in multi-project management, outreach and education, and planning at the regional level.
