Software Engineering Intern

What I liked
Learning environment, I was able to take classes during my internship through the companies learning management system. I was also able to have a bit of freedom in my project; after I had completed most of it I decided to work on something tangential that I thought would increase productivity and my team was supportive. Was also able to spend an afternoon each week contributing back to open source which was awesome!
What I wish was different
I had another intern on my team who was a bit less experienced, and sometimes they slowed down my productivity.
Advice
Always think about what could go wrong. Cover all bases. Think of worst case everything and obey the style guidelines your team sets. Also make several small code reviews rather than one huge one.
