It was a chance for me to learn my job better over the summer. I think my job is pretty interesting, and learning it was a fun experience. Throughout the time, I created stronger relationships with my coworkers, as well as strengthening my body physically and mentally.
What I wish was different
N/A. The experience was as I expected it to be, if not better.
Advice
Hard work and focus really pay off in the end. Learn as much as possible about your job and perhaps also master extra duties around your office to become a “go-to” person that others can rely on.

Airman and Family Readiness Center Intern

What I liked
I assisted with internal job fairs, transition process from military to civilian life, informing military members of the programs available to them as service members. Overall, I enjoyed interacting with the military and co-workers on what the center does for the military.
What I wish was different
If I has more time then I would have been granted more access to computer programs and information. Also, I wish I hadn't taken classes during this time.
Advice
I would suggest if someone wants a civilian job with the military that they plan well in advance to be vetted for access to the installation and computer access. One done, I suggest that interns make the most of what the military and co-workers have to offer through networking and friendships.

Loved working with great people, and using explosives to accomplish the mission.

Whish it was for a longer term, I had to much fun.
