I like that they were flexible and understanding about my school schedule. It's easier to get to since its already on campus and most of classes are nearby.
What I wish was different
I wish that I knew about this opportunity sooner and that in the beginning I was more mindful of the fact that, yes I need to work but I also need time to study and rest in order to not burn out.
Advice
It is understandable if it is a little difficult to adjust at first, especially if it's your first time balancing school and work but with time you start to get the hang of it. Everyone's process is different and if something works better for someone else or vice versa, that's okay. Do what is best for you.

I wish that there was less of switching between managers. With my time here we’ve gone through at least 3 managers in the last 2 years.

Be professional, even though this is considered a campus job. You represent the university and do you want to make a good impression to others.

I wished there was more training for computer resources, and a bit of better communication.

This job is like many retail store jobs, preferably get to know the rental system the best because the rental check in process can take some time.

What I liked
I love being a team lead at the bookstore. I've learned lots of great experience and have enhanced my skill set in many ways. I love being a leader for the rest of my team and I enjoy teaching others how to succeed in their own career. I love being part of a team and getting to work in a fun, yet professional environment.

I wish communication throughout the store was more of a priority. Communication is one issue that could greatly be improved and would benefit all employers.
Advice
This job is a great learning experience. It is very convenient that it is on campus. I would take this experience for what it is and make the most of it. You are the steward of your own success, you're going to get out of it how much you put into it.
