I enjoyed the independent and self-led nature of my project, and also the fact that I was able to work with other post-doc students when I needed help with certain tasks
What I wish was different
I wish the research was not held remotely, as I would have very much enjoyed going into the lab. I also hoped to have a bit more direction in some instances, but was able to overcome any issues I ran into with ambiguity of the project.
Advice
Make sure to organize a schedule and stick to it when you have a self-led project, especially in a remote setting. It is very easy to get off task, so even scheduling in hours on your calendar will help keep you organized.
