The Foundation offered hands-on learning that enhanced my knowledge of the University and the donors. Working alongside Amanda and Nadia was absolutely amazing as they were a great help and wanted me to succeed. This opportunity also allowed me to expand my help to other departments when needed which boosted my appreciation for the facility even more. Everyone was welcoming and lovely to work with.

What I liked
I've gotten to learn so much about event planning from several different employees. I have received hands on experience working various foundation events and was about to help plan elements of the events.
What I wish was different
There's a lot of back room things I have to do like expense reports, stuffing envelopes, mailing invitations, and invitee lookups. It's a lot of little, repetitive tasks you have to get used to doing!
Advice
Invest in the work you're doing!! I've loved every second of this internship and I would recommend it to anyone.
