I got a chance to do actual research in a field I am passionate about. I also met dozens of incredibly intelligent faculty who were all mentors to me.
What I wish was different
Nothing, it was perfect.
Advice
Don't be afraid to apply for programs that you do not meet the qualifications for - I sent an email and was told I could still apply, and I was accepted.

It was very good to be able to work on campus, considering that I also live close to USF. It was a very good job that also influenced the way I see USF positively, seeing how many people are passionate about helping others in our community, and also having the opportunity to network with USF leaders.

What I liked
I liked that I was able to work in my field of interest, which is graphic design. The environment was very friendly and laid-back. I had a flexible schedule so I had nothing to worry about. The workload was perfect, and I had an adequate amount of time to finish each task.

Make sure you fulfill all of the client's needs in a design and communicate with them!

What I liked
I appreciated how much I grew during the training for becoming an orientation leader like the leadership class. I also liked being able to help other students open up about their experiences and helping them transition into the university.
What I wish was different
I wish that I would have spent more time learning about resources on campus. I also wish that there were better things in place to stay in contact with students after orientation.

What I liked
I was able to work on a variety of projects, develop other lab skills, and get a lot of advice from the graduate students in the lab. I also got to explore and participate in school activities that I wasn't a part of as a university student.
What I wish was different
I wished I could have worked longer and been able to continue working on my research project which could not be continued due to issues at the supplier of the research organisms.
Advice
Look for the enjoyment in little things and keep looking for and applying to new opportunities available around you even if you don't know what you want to do.
