What I liked
Hands-on experience, directly working with patients and other healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. I was also compensated for my work.
What I wish was different
The shifts are 12 hours, which can be exhausting if you're not used to it. It was also rigorous and required me to obtain a certification beforehand.
Advice
I highly recommend this experience if you are interested in nursing or any other medical profession. My advice would be to apply for a job before you have your certification because you can work for up to 4 months uncertified, as long as you are in a CNA course.
