Don't be afraid to take initiative and be a leader on your research team! Since our team was actively recruiting and interviewing over the summer, I came up with the idea to recruit at Pridefest, and organized that with my peers. In addition, I have discussed with my research mentor the possibilities of completing other tasks as the research study progresses, thus expanding my knowledge and skills.
