I loved being with the kids. That was honestly the most precious time I had throughout the summer and made all the hours, yelling and sunburns completely worth it.
What I wish was different
The facilitation of the programming could have been better organized. There were a number of times when camp leaders had to do some guessing on how we were going to go about getting the kids together for lunch, swim, on the bus and things of the sort.
Advice
The camp organizer is amazing and facilitates a great work environment. Working for her makes the job so much simpler. I would advise new employees to make a relationship with the camp organizer. She is a great encourager and a wonderful supporter.
