I still work in the Campus Mail but I now work on the departmental side, I used to work at the Ferguson with the student packaging and mail program.
What I wish was different
I wish there was a career ladder in this department.
Advice
It is always a good idea to research and find out what your school offers as far as career choices and opportunities to grow in aspects like; how to sit through interviews, what to wear and what not to wear and most importantly how to gain confidence and realize that you are good enough for that position.

I enjoyed getting to spend a summer in Tuscaloosa helping lead the team of parent ambassadors as they led parents and families through Bama Bound. I gained experience in leadership, communication, and time management throughout the year long commitment.
What I wish was different
I wish I had known more of what the job would entail through a better realistic job preview.
Advice
I would say any experience is helpful even if you don’t plan on pursuing that field or career. Even though I won’t be going into higher education, I still learned valuable skills.
