The immersive experience was remarkable. You’re able to go in and actually do work that you would do as a 1st or 2nd year audit staff and really see how the company works.
What I wish was different
To have worked with more clients from different industries. I was able to get my top 2 preferences of industries. With that being said, I don’t believe the length of the summer internship would had allowed to get very in-depth with anyone if I had moved clients anymore.
Advice
Go in with an open mind and don’t be scared to ask questions. They know you lack experience and are more than willing to answer any question you throw their way.

What I liked
I really enjoyed the people I worked with. I made a lot of friends in my intern class from different schools and also met professional contacts that became mentors and guides to me during my internship.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time there. The internship went by so fast and I didn't get to work on as many clients as I would have liked to. That being said, I still did love the clients/industries I worked with and learned more than I ever thought I would.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share with anyone applying to this internship is to not be afraid to ask questions. It is important to make sure you understand the work you are doing in order to learn as much as you can.

What I liked
This internship allowed me to see numerous team dynamics in one experience. . I loved the strong team dynamic. I thoroughly enjoy working on projects with the freedom to put my own twist on things. Everyone was supportive and willing to help me learn along the way.
What I wish was different
Looking back I honestly wished I would've networked more with people in different service lines. Deloitte is a large company and it takes a while to create interactions with people who don't work on the same engagement. I would have also loved if the length of the internship was longer. There is still so much that I have not tapped into with many of the different career opportunities Deloitte has to offer.

Network! Network! Network! The workplace is full of motivated people from all different walks of life. You should make the extra effort to connect with them.
