What I liked

You always stay busy. They give 3 breaks for every shift (2-15s, 1-unpaid 30). Every Sunday was overtime pay and you would get overtime pay if you worked more than 8 hours in a day. You also get a free membership and after 90 days you get two free memberships to give to friends or family.

What I wish was different

If there was a Costco in Makato that would be nice so I could continue to work during the school year; otherwise, I really enjoyed it.

What I liked

I loved the people and the company culture: everyone was extremely helpful and patient with me for the first few days (which gave me confidence to perform better throughout the internship) Enjoyed learning new analytic tools such and improving my Microsoft office proficiency.

What I wish was different

I spent 8 weeks in the same department, but I wish I could have explored some of the other departments such as the buying team or the warehouse retail team.

Advice

Be proactive: ask to join meetings and other classes offered by the company appropriately. Have a positive attitude and make the most out of the resources that the company provides. Be open-minded to other ideas and learn to respect your colleagues.

What I liked

I was working long hours in order to help pay my tuition. The environment is always hectic due to the amount of customers we get, but it is nice to talk with people with different backgrounds. I also enjoyed bulging relationships with my coworkers, they are truly supportive.
